Class-III girl raped by uncle in Kalahandi

Kalahandi: In yet another incident of alleged sexual assault against minors, a Class-III girl student in Odisha’s Kalahandi district was allegedly raped by her uncle.

The rape incident has occurred at Bachaka village under Biswanathpur police limits.

The Class-III girl student of Bachaka village was allegedly raped by her uncle in a nearby forest. The accused has been detained by the police after the girl’s mother lodged a complaint in this connection.

The accused uncle, identified as Sanyasi, lured the eight-year-old with berries and took her to the forests and allegedly raped her.

The matter came to light after the minor girl narrated the ordeal in front of her mother.

Meanwhile, medical examination of the girl was conducted.
