Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday requested Union Health Minister JP Nadda to send a team to Baripada medical college in Odisha so that it can be made functional.
In a letter, Pradhan requested Nadda to direct the Medical Council of India (MCI) to depute a team to conduct the second inspection at the Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College, Baripada so that it can be made functional.
“The construction work of this medical college is completed and to make the college functional, MCI has to carry out second inspection and submit an assessment report so that the process of admission can commence for the academic session 2018-19,” said Pradhan.
“I sincerely urge you to direct the concerned officials of MCI for the immediate visit to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College, Baripada to conduct the inspection so that medical college can be made functional,” said Pradhan.
