Youth suspected as child thief beaten severely in Keonjhar

Bhubaneswar: A youth was severely beaten on being suspected as a child lifter by villagers of Baniajodi under Anandpur area in Keonjhar district on Saturday.

The youth, who is yet to be identified, has been rescued by police. He is undergoing treatment in a hospital.

It may be noted that such incidents have been reported from different places in Odisha despite the fact that DGP RP Sharma has issued a notice to the public not to commit such offences.
