Niranjan Patnaik clears stand on ‘one man one post’

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik on Tuesday cleared party’s stand on ‘one man one post’.

He said tickets will be distributed on winnability criteria during the 2019 polls.

He said ‘one man one post’ means-one shall not hold party post and the post of an elected representative simultaneously.

“As the PCC President of Odisha Congress, I will ensure that tickets are distributed on winnability criteria, with preference to youth, women and new faces,” said Patnaik.

Senior Congress leader Bhakta Das on Monday also said that winnability is the primary yardstick to distribute tickets.
