Tata Steel inks pact with CTTC for skill enhancement training of employees


Bhubaneswar: Tata Steel has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central Tool Room and Training Centre, Bhubaneswar for enhancing the skills of its employees at its plant located in Kalinganagar in Odisha’s Jajpur district.

On behalf of the company, Suresh Dutt Tripathi, Vice President (Human Resource Management) and Rajiv Kumar, Vice President (Operations), Tata Steel Kalinganagar signed the MoU with Sibasis Maity, Managing Director, CTTC and L. Rajasekhar, DGM, CTTC in the presence of Arun Kumar Panda, MSME Secretary, Government of India.

As per the provisions of the MoU, Central Tool Room and Training Centre, Bhubaneswar will conduct specially designed 3-year diploma certificate course in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to enhance the academic qualification and develop the skills and capabilities of Tata Steel Kalinganagar employees.

The syllabus will be jointly approved by Tata Steel and CTTC. The course has been designed in a way that a student can acquire an in-depth knowledge of the concepts of Mechanical & Electrical engineering and refine the skills needed in the steel industry.

The course is scheduled to start from the 1st week of August 2018 and will be completely sponsored by Tata Steel.
