Bhubaneswar: The Odisha cabinet on Saturday decided to reduce the lease rental charges of government-owned IT Towers/ facilities to encourage Startups in the state.
It decided to revise lease rentals both for core space and incubation space and modify the relevant provisions of ICT Policy 2014.
The government is giving high priority for overall development of IT/ ITeS / ESDM Sector in Odisha, to foster innovation through Startups and to create more employment opportunities for the students of Odisha for engagement in IT/ITeS/ESDM sector.
The government decided to reduce the rental charges for Core space and Incubation space in all designated government-owned IT Towers/ facilities to Rs 20 per square feet for the super Built up area.
The OCAC Tower, Fortune Tower, Idco Tower, Tower 2000 at Mancheswar, Tower 2010 at Mancheswar and STPI Tower at Gothpatna are designated as government owned IT Towers/ facilities and all IT/ITeS/ESDM Entrepreneurs/companies operating out of these Towers shall be eligible to get this rent subsidy.
