Low to medium flood situation in Mahanadi river

Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi on Sunday asked collectors of Jajpur, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Khurda districts to draw up emergency plan as low to medium flood situation may occur in Mahanadi river.

The SRC said about 7.5 to 8 lakh cusec of water may pass at Munduli on Monday causing low to medium flood situation in Mahanadi system.

Collectors of Jajpur, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Khordha have been alerted, said Sethi.
