Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 28.95 crore for six blocks of six districts as a part of the ongoing ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ flagship programme.
The blocks are Patrapur in Ganjam district, Banta in Bhadrak district, Barang in Cuttack district, Thuamul-Rampur in Kalahandi district, Gosani in Gajapati district and Birmaharajpur in Sonepur district.
The Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 5.75 crore for 123 projects to be undertaken in 23 Gram Panchayats (GPs) of Patrapur Block while Rs 6.15 crore for 178 projects in 25 GPs of Banta Block and Rs 4.35 crore for 238 projects in 16 GPs of Barang Block.
The Chief Minister also sanctioned Rs 4.40 crore for 252 projects in 24 GPs of Thuamul-Rampur Block, Rs 4.75 crore for 169 projects in 20 GPs of Gosani Block and Rs 3.55 crore for 117 rural projects in 14 GPS of Birmaharajpur Block.
The programme through video conferencing was attended by local representatives and officers of various departments.
