BJD supported NDA RS Dy Chairman candidate in fear: Congress

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik on Thursday said the ruling BJD supported the NDA candidate for Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman post in fear of CBI inquiry.

“The BJD supported NDA candidate in fear of CBI. Its claim of maintaining equal distance from the Congress and the BJP will be judged by people,” said Patnaik.

It may be noted that BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had on Wednesday declared that his party would support NDA nominee Harivansh Narayan Singh.

Meanwhile, NDA candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh elected as Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman on Thursday.
