Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday recruited 483 new doctors and issued directions to recruit 500 assistant section officers (ASOs) in state Secretariat.
Following the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, it has been requested to the Odisha State Public Service Commission to initiate the process of recruiting 500 assistant section officers in state Secretariat.
The recruitment process of assistant section officers will be carried out for 2018, said an official communiqué.
In an effort to address the shortage of doctors and improve healthcare services, the Odisha government on Thursday gave appointment to as many as 483 doctors.
Patnaik handed over the appointment letters.
The newly-recruited doctors will be placed in remote and rural areas in the State, an official communiqué said.
