Naveen launches ‘Mu Hero, Mu Odisha’

Bhubaneswar: With an eye on garnering the support of youths ahead of the next years’ general and assembly elections, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday launched ‘Mu Hero, Mu Odisha ((I am Hero, I am Odisha) campaign’ to identify and acknowledge unsung talents from each panchayat and urban local bodies in the state.

The Chief Minister flagged-off the programme in Cuttack.

The campaign launched under Biju Yuva Vahini, a voluntary programme that aims to promote youth leadership and sports at the community level.

“Odisha is the land of heroes. Every house in every village and town has Gopabandhu Das, Madhu Babu, Biju Babu and Dharmapada. It is our duty to acknowledge and respect their contribution to our society,” said Patnaik.

“Everyone either he or she who is either a doctor, engineer, farmer or ordinary person has different talents. Everyone’s cooperation and contribution will help the society to walk on the path of development,” said the Chief Minister.
