Five persons died of asphyxiation in Odisha

Rayagada: At least five persons died and one remained critical owing to asphyxiation inside a septic tank in Odisha’s Rayagada district on Sunday.

The incident occurred at Paika Sahi of Durgi village in Bissamcuttack block.

The five persons got into the tank to rescue a woman worker who had fallen inside it, said sources.

Five persons were declared dead after they were rushed to the Christian hospital.
