Bhubaneswar: In order to strengthen the party cadre ahead of the elections in 2019, BJP national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on September 24, informed state BJP Mahila Morcha president Pravati Parida on Tuesday.
Shah will attend party’s Mahila Morcha Rashtriya Maha Adhiveshan in Puri. The programme of the women’s wing of the BJP will be held in Puri from September 23 to 25.
Party sources said the BJP president will interact with the party leaders and assess the ground situation ahead of the general and Assembly polls in the state.
Last time, Shah had visited the state on July 1 to review the progress made by the state unit of the party to achieve his ‘mission 120+’ in Odisha in the 2019 election.
Shah had told party workers to concentrate on strengthening the booths by reaching out to people and explain the achievements of the Narendra Modi Government and failures of Naveen Patnaik Government.
Shah will visit Odisha two days after the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will inaugurate Jharsuguda airport and lay the foundation stone for Talcher fertilizer plant on September 22.
