Bhadrak: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram on Sunday inaugurated new station building and 6-meter-wide new foot over-bridge at Bhadrak Railway Station here.
Addressing a gathering, Oram said that the inaugural function is just a few among the various steps being taken by Railways to improve the stations and Railway infrastructure.
He also stated that people of this area were eagerly waiting for this new station building and Foot Over Bridge, as Bhadrak City is expanding rapidly.
Oram appreciated and congratulated East Coast Railway authorities for bringing improvement in passenger amenities and station development.
General Manager, East Coast Railway Umesh Singh stated that operationalisation of the Bhadrak New Railway Station and Foot Over Bridge will help to avoid congestion at the Railway Station.
The New Station Building at Bhadrak Station has been completed at a cost of Rupees 6.18 crores having facilities like Booking Office with Reserved & Unreserved Ticketing System, Passenger Waiting Halls, CTI Office, Station Platform and circulating area with a barricade.
Similarly, the foot over-bridge has been completed at a cost of Rs. 3.20 crores connecting all the platforms in a record time of 150 days.
