Puri SI suspended for posting photos of Srimandir premises on Facebook

Puri: Sub Inspector of Puri Sea Beach police station Dilip Panda was on Monday suspended for posting photographs of Jagannath temple premises on social media.

Puri SP Sarthak Sarangi suspended Dilip Panda.

Earlier on Monday, the Sub Inspector posted photographs of ‘Pinda Dana’ on ‘Baishipahacha’ on social media platform Facebook.

Clad in white dhoti and a garb over his shoulders, the photos of Sub Inspector Dilip Panda offering ‘Pinda Dana’ on the auspicious day of ‘Mahalaya’ on the ‘Bahispahacha’ was posted on the social media.

It received sharp criticism from several quarters.
