Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Anant Geete on Tuesday proposed to set up a machine tools park in Odisha.
“A machine tools park is being set up in Karnataka with an investment of Rs 500 crore over 500 acres of land. The park is being set up with the support of the Karnataka government. If the Odisha government supports, we can set up an industrial park in Odisha,” said the Minister.
Informing that Odisha produces about one-third steel of the country, he said the machine tools park will create employment and enhance the steel industries.
He also assured to provide full support to the state government for machine tools park.
The Minister was addressing a conclave on “Capital Goods in Steel Sector: Manufacture in India” in Bhubaneswar.
