Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday said Odias outside the state can avail the benefits of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana and people from the state can also avail the benefit of the scheme outside the state.
“To provide health care to people of Odisha even outside the state, it has been decided that all state and central government hospitals outside the state are deemed to be empanelled under BSKY and the treatment cost would be paid to the beneficiary bank account,” said the Chief Minister.
Further, all premier healthcare institutions across the country including Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, CMC Vellore, Narayan Hrudalaya etc have also been covered under the BSKY, said Patnaik.
Besides, the annual income limit of cancer, heart and kidney ailments increased from Rs 1lakh to Rs 3 lakh to avail the benefits.
He said over 1 crore people covered under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana in past 2 months.
The health scheme was launched on August 15 in the state.
