Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court Bar Association on Wednesday called off its two and half month cease-work agitation after three police personnel sought an unconditional apology before the High Court for allegedly attacking a lawyer.
Bar association president Srikant Nayak said that the three policemen appeared before the bench of the High Court of Justice C.R. Das and tendered an unconditional apology for the incident.
He also informed that the lawyers will join their duty from Thursday.
Notably, the lawyers had resorted to strike after police personnel attacked a lawyer Debi Prasad Patnaik in Cuttack on August 28.
