Bhubaneswar: Union Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma has informed that the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) will work for conservation and maintenance of Bhringeswara Temple, Ancient Fort and Kanakeswar Temple in the state.
Sharma said all the three monuments namely Bhringeswara Mahadev Temple at Bajrakote in Angul district; Ancient Fort, Haipurgarh in Mayurbhanj district and Kanakeswara Mahadev Temple at Kualo in Dhenkanal district have been inspected and detailed report is already prepared for conservation and maintenance by officials of ASI Bhubaneswar Circle.
The Culture Minister informed, in a letter, to Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Estimates have also been prepared for comprehensive conservation and development of all the three temples and approvals have been obtained, said Sharma.
Tenders have been floated for Bringeswara Mahadev Temple and Kanakeswara Mahadev Temple. Floating of tender for Ancient Fort is in progress and works on all these temples are expected to begin by December 2018.
