Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday directed the concerned authorities to allot Biju Pucca Ghar to13,000 families affected by severe cyclonic storm Titli in October this year.
The government will spend Rs 176 crore to provide Biju Pucca Ghar to cyclone Titli-affected families of 11 districts.
The Chief Minister also directed to issue all the work orders on a specific date in all the blocks to the beneficiaries in order to maintain transparency as well as get the work completed in an expeditious manner.
It has also been decided that both the local traders and the local self-help groups (SHGs) should be entrusted with the preparation of the construction materials meant for these Biju Pucca Ghars.
It has further been decided that the concerned SHGs will be provided with an extra financial assistance.
