Chennai-bound IndiGo flight makes emergency landing at Bhubaneswar airport


Bhubaneswar: A Chennai-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Saturday after a three-month-old baby passenger fell sick in the aircraft.

According to sources, IndiGo 6E905 was on its way to Chennai from Guwahati, when the condition of a child suddenly became critical.

Following a request from the parents, the pilot contacted the Air Traffic control of the BPIA for an emergency landing after the infant suffered a pain.

The ailing infant was immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital for medical treatment.

The flight of the private airline made an emergency landing at 10.30 am at the Bhubaneswar airport.
