Sachin Tendulkar confirms Odisha visit for Hockey World Cup final


Bhubaneswar: Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will be in Bhubaneswar to attend the final match of Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup on Sunday.

The master blaster confirmed his visit to extend support to the tournament through a tweet.

In his tweet, the former Indian cricketer also praised Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Hockey India for the world class arrangements for the world cup.

“Heartwarming to see the entire nation supporting the Men’s Hockey World Cup-2018. To extend my support, I’ll be coming to the spectacular Kalinga Stadium tomorrow. See you there,” Tendulkar tweeted.

Former cricketers Anil Kumble and Virender Sehwag were also in Bhubaneswar to watch the hockey matches being played at Kalinga Stadium here.

Besides Sachin Tendulkar, Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also come to watch the hockey world cup final.
