Cuttack: The Odia question paper allegedly went viral on social media few minutes after the commencement of the annual High School Certificate examination on Friday, the first day of the exams.
The annual matric examination is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE). This year, total 5,72,699 students are appearing in the examination at 2,830 centres.
The MIL (Odia) question paper surfaced on WhatsApp in Nuapada and Dhenkanal districts just after the students appeared in the exam at 10.00 am.
However, the School & Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra denied the allegation.
He said that the mobile phones are completely prohibited at the examination centres and the question papers have been kept in tight security at the nodal centres.
The Minister, however, made it clear that he would order a probe into the incident if the circulated question paper is found similar to the original question paper.
The BSE authorities confirmed that the
Odia question paper has been circulated on the social media.
