Paralakhemundi princess Kalyani Devi joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: Princess of Paralakhemundi royal family Kalyani Devi joined the Biju Janata Dal here on Tuesday.

Along with her supporters from Paralakhemundi constituency, the Gajapati dynasty scion joined the BJD in the presence of party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the latter’s residence.

Sources said she is likely to contest the 2019 elections.

Kalyani Devi is the daughter of Parala king and two-time MP Gopinath Gajapati.
