Rahul Gandhi to visit Odisha on March 15

Bhubaneswar: With the declaration of general and assembly election schdules in Odisha, Congress President Rahul Gandhi is slated to visit the state for campaigning on March 15.

Gandhi is scheduled to address the ‘Parivartan Sankalpa Samavesh’ at Bargarh, informed senior Congress leader and incharge of Odisha, TS Singh Deo.

Meanwhile, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik said the party will give priority to women during distribution of tickets for the upcoming general and assembly elections in the state.

 “As per the direction of All India Congress Committee (AICC), the party will give more tickets to women in the ensuing elections,” said the PCC president.

He said the AICC Central Election Committee (CEC) has finalised the candidates for three phases while the CEC will meet on March 16 to finalise the fourth phase candidates.

Odisha will face elections in four phases.
