Bhubaneswar: In a bid to woo the women voters in the ensuing Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, BJD president and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday unveiled the election manifesto for women.
Addressing a rally at Komna in Nuapada, Patnaik promised to hike medical assistance for women under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
He also promised to provide free education for girls from KG to college including medical and engineering courses, if the BJD come to power in the elections.
The Chief Minister also promised to
provie marriage assistance of Rs 25,000 for poor families.
