Bhubaneswar: What could bring huge relief to stranded passengers, three long-distance Express trains will commence their journeys from Puri on Wednesday, five days after cyclone Fani hit the Odisha coast.
Puri-New Delhi Purushottam express, Puri-Durg express and Puri-Hatia Tapaswini express will resume their operation, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) said in a statement.
The decision was taken after railways successfully ran a special train between Khurda road station and Puri on Tuesday.
Similarly, five trains will originate from Khurda Road station on Wednesday instead of Puri. They are the Dhauli Express for Howrah, Sambalpur Intercity Express, Puri-Howrah Express, Jagannath Express to Howrah and Indore Humsafar Express.
The Railways
has also postponed Railway Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) scheduled to be
conducted on May 10 for Assistant Loco Pilot and Technical post vide Notice
(CEN 01/2018) at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Brahmapur, Sambalpur and Balasore.
