Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) declared the results of High School Certificate examination on Tuesday.
Announcing the results, School and Mass Education Department secretary Pradipta Mohapatra informed that the pass percentage of the annual examination is at 70.78 per cent, which is over five per cent lower than last year’s pass percentage of 76.23 per cent.
While 5,87,720 students had appeared for the exam this year, 3,97,125 have cleared the exam this year. The pass rate for regular students stands at 71.35 % and 37.43% for ex-regular students.
Out of the students who passed the examination, 1,91,655 are male and 2,05,470 are female, informed Mohapatra.
While 1,181 students have been awarded grade-A1, 9,938 students got Grade A2. 24,991 got B1 and 46,319 students have been awarded B2 category. Similarly, 76139 students have been graded under C category, while 1,16,262 got Grade D-1, 1,22,062 students received Grade E and 1,63,954 got Grade F.
While 82 schools have recorded nil results, 289 schools have recorded cent percent results.
Jharsuguda has recorded the highest of
85.48% while Koraput has recorded the lowest pass percentage of 50.61%.
