Bhubaneswar: Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Railway Board on Sunday said all important railway stations in Odisha will soon get Wi-Fi facility by end of September this year.
He also informed that CCTVs will be installed all the important stations and Important Mail/Express Trains by the end of this financial year to improve the safety and security of the passengers.
Yadav said the Indian Railways will sign an agreement with the state government to redevelop the main entrance of Bhubaneswar station.
“Bhubaneswar station main entrance will be redeveloped with the help of State Government and all the issues regarding signing of MoU with the state Government has been sorted out. It will be signed soon,” he said.
Besides, the second entry from platform no-6 side will be developed and fund has been provided to improve circulating area and road connectivity to the station.
He said there is a demand to run more trains from Bhubaneswar, so a survey has been sanctioned this year to run freight trains by-passing Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
It will facilitate to
run more trains from Bhubaneswar and Cuttack soon, he added.
