Odisha CM directs free treatment of Prakash Rao

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday directed the Cuttack district Collector to provide free treatment to Padma Shri D Prakash Rao, who has been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Expressing concern over the health condition of Rao, the Chief Minister wished Rao’s speedy recovery and directed the official to supervise his treatment.

Rao admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of SCB Medical College and Hospital after he complained of chest pain while attending a programme in Angul on Tuesday.

D Prakash Rao, a tea seller from Cuttack, had received the prestigious Padma Shri award for his contributions in the field of social work.
