Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) candidate Sabitri Agarwalla won the Patkura Assembly poll by beating Bharatiya Janata Dal (BJP) candidate Bijoy Mohapatra on Wednesday.
Agarwalla won the Patkura Assembly poll by a margin of over 17,000 votes.
The polling for the Patkura Assembly seat was held on July 20 after being postponed twice in the past few months.
The poll was scheduled to be held on April 29. However, it was cancelled following the death of BJD candidate Bed Prakash Agarwalla on April 20.
Later, it was
postponed due to cyclone Fani.
