Independence Day parade venue shifted to Exhibition Ground

Bhubaneswar: The state-level Independence Day parade will be held at Exhibition Ground in Odisha capital this year, informed Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty on Tuesday.

Mohanty said the parade ground has been shifted to Exhibition Ground from the Mahatma Gandhi Marg.

Four troupes-Territorial Army, Telangana Police, Central Armed Police and Odisha Special Armed Police will participate in the state-level parade this year.

Police said that the new venue could accommodate around 20,000 spectators. Adequate security arrangements would be made for the smooth celebration of the Independence Day, said Mohanty.
