Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is taking steps for the functioning of all the Plus Two and Plus Three colleges in separate buildings, said Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo on Thursday.
A joint meeting of School and Mass Education and Higher Education departments was held in this regard on Thursday. Along with Sahoo, School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Dash also attended the meeting.
In the meeting, it was finalised that Plus Two and Plus Three colleges would now not be clubbed under the same category.
Sahoo said special attention will be paid to infrastructure of the college buildings and the classes will be held in same campus until the process is completed.
Sahoo added that teaching and non-teaching staff of +2 colleges will be promoted to +3 colleges and vacancies in +2 colleges will be filled in phased manner.
This will go
for next 3-4 years until all the vacancies are filled up, he added.
