Minor girl gang-raped in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhubaneswar: A minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by miscreants in Chandbali area of Odisha’s Bhadrak district while she was returning from a Jatra show with her cousin brother in the wee hours on Monday.

The girl was allegedly ambushed by four youths and later gang-raped near Gopalpur in Chandbali.

Police sources said the brother and sister were returning after watching a night show of ‘Jatra’ at about 4 am today. Both were riding separate bicycles.

Sources said four youth came on a bike and waylaid them near Chanbali College Square. While one of them got hold of the brother, the other three took the survivor to nearby bushes.

They allegedly raped her one by one and shot the heinous act on their phones.

However, a few villagers heard the brother’s cries for help and rushed to help them. Locals managed to nab one of the accused and handed him over to police while three others fled the spot.
