Girl abducted, gang-raped in Puri

Puri: Four persons allegedly gang-raped a woman in a government quarter near Jhadeshwari Club in Puri.

The matter came to light after the survivor lodged a complaint at Kumbharapada police station in Puri district.

The girl was allegedly gang-raped in government quarters after being abducted in a car from Nimapara bus terminal, said sources.

The survivor has reportedly got hold of an identity card which belongs to a police constable.

Puri SP Umashankar Dash said the statement of the girl has been recorded and they have started an investigation into the rape incident.
