Bhubaneswar: Odisha Agriculture Minister Arun Sahoo on Thursday said KALIA Yojana will continue in the state even though the scheme will converge with the Centre’s PM-KISAN.
The Minister also informed that the state government has started disbursing second installment assistance under the KALIA Yojana.
Many beneficiaries have already received assistance under the scheme. More people have been included under the scheme this time, he added.
The state government is in discussion with the Union Agriculture Ministry for the merger of Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (Kalia) Yojana with PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Odisha Agriculture Department is preparing a detailed plan to merge Kalia Yojana with PM-KISAN Yojana.
Reacting to the KALIA-PM-KISAN merger, Navnirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) convenor Akshay Kumar said the state government has cheated the farmers.
“CM Naveen
Patnaik has cheated 75 lakh farmers in the State. Farmers will lodge FIRs against
