Amritsar: An FIR has been lodged against Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan and comedy queen Bharti Singh for hurting religious sentiments of a community in a TV show.
A case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Sonu Jafar, president of Christian Front of Ajnala Block, at the Ajnala police station in Amritsar.
The complainant alleged that the religious sentiments of Christians have been hurt in the comedy show of Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and Bharti Singh aired on the TV channel on Christmas day.
However, Raveen has shared a video of the comedy show clarifying that she has n’t said a word that can be interpreted as an insult to any religion.
“I haven’t said a word that can be interpreted as an insult to any religion. The three of us (Farah Khan, Bharti Singh and I) never intended to offend anyone, but in case we did, my most sincere apologies to those who were hurt,” tweeted Raveena.
