Chandra Grahan 2020 not to be observed in Jagannath Temple

Puri: Lunar eclipse 2020 will not be observed in Jagannath Temple on Friday as the eclipse will not be visible in Odisha.

Since there is no mention of the same in the Panji (Odia almanac), the observance of Chandra Grahan 2020 bears no significance, informed Jagannath culture researcher, Surya Narayan Ratha Sharma.

The January 10 penumbral lunar eclipse is one of the four lunar eclipses that will take place this year. The first lunar eclipse of 2020 will start on January 10 at 10:39 pm. This lunar eclipse will coincide with the full Moon.
