Youth from Angul arrested for spreading rumours on Coronavirus

Bhubaneswar: A youth of Balanda area in Odisha’s Angul district has been arrested for spreading rumours over Coronavirus through his social media account.

The youth posted a message saying that a youth in Banarpal area got infected by COVID19 and another youth succumbed in New Delhi, informed Central range IG Narasingh Bhol.

Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday urged everyone coming from abroad to mandatorily register themselves through toll free number-104 or online portal https://covid19.odisha.gov.in within 24 hours of arrival, to prevent spread of COVID19 in the state.

Self disclosure will help us in tracking and containing the pandemic, said the Chief Minister in a tweet.
