COVID-19: Odisha reports second positive case


Bhubaneswar: One more person from Odisha has been tested positive for coronavirus (COVID19) taking the total number of infected people in the state to two, said a health official on Friday.


Out of 14 samples sent to the RMRC, Bhubaneswar for tests, one was found to be positive for COVID-19, said the official.

“Today 14 samples were tested at RMRC Bhubaneswar out of which one is positive  for #COVID2019This is the second positive case in Odisha.The second confirmed case has also a travel history to a COVID 19 affected country.State Surveillance Unit has initiated contact tracing,” tweeted the health department.


Earlier, a 33-year-old man from Bhubaneswar was tested positive for COVID-19. He had returned to India from Italy on March 6.
