COVID-19: OMC contributes Rs 500 cr to CMRF

Bhubaneswar: State PSU Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has decided to contribute Rs 500 crores to Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) to fight the COVID-19 in the state.

OMC, as a responsible Public Sector Company, has decided to contribute to CMRF for supporting the state government’s efforts to control COVID-19 situation, said a statement.

The Board of Directors meeting decided to give Rs 250 crore interim dividend for the financial year 2019-20.

This is apart, OMC has already contributed Rs.100 to CMRF in February 2020.

Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has appealed for support from all sections of the society.

He has already contributed three months salary for the COVID-19 Fund.
