Odisha govt orders kits for testing 50,000 samples

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has placed orders to procure additional kits for testing at least 50,000 samples in the near future.

Besides, it has requested the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi to allow COVID testing at MKCG MCH, Berhampur, VIMSAR Burla and IGH Rourkela.

“Indian Council of Medical Research New Delhi has been requested to allow COVID testing at MKCG MCH, Berhampur, VIMSAR Burla and IGH Rourkela. Orders have been placed to procure additional kits for testing at least 50000 samples in near future,” tweeted the Health department.

So far, the government has conducted 1113 tests while five have been confirmed COVID19 positive.
