Bhubaneswar: Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera on Monday informed that the state government is taking steps to resume bus service with 50 per cent occupancy of passengers in the green zones.
Arrangements are being made to ensure the movement of buses in green zones with 50% occupancy of passengers. A proposal in this regard has been forwarded to the Chief Minister for approval, said the Minister.
He saidsteps will also be taken to ensure that bus owners don’t incur losses.
Notably, 16 districts have been placed under green zone.
Meanwhile, the Odisha government on Monday issued an order for playing of buses only within Green Zones with 50% of total seating capacity.
The buses cannot touch the territory of Orange or Red Zones.
