2394 retired police personnel reengaged for COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: A total of 2394 retired police personnel in Odisha Police and Central Armed Police Force have been re-engaged as Special Police Officers (SPO) on a contractual basis for 3 months to work during COVID-19 Pandemic.

As they are retired personnel special attention shall be given on their health condition, said an official.

Special Secretary of the Home Department has written a letter to the Director General Police in this connection.
