With rising fuel price, bus fare hiked in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday hiked bus fare for all categories under the automatic fare adjustment mechanism following a steep rise in fuel price.

Ordinary bus fares have been hiked from 67 paise/km to 70 paise/km. Express bus fare will be 73 paise/km instead of 70 paise/km.

Besides, deluxe category buses will now charge Rs 1.01/km against 95 paise/km while AC deluxe buses will charge Rs 1.23 per km as against Rs 1.17 per km.
