New Delhi: The Odisha government and Centre on Monday supported holding of annual RathYatra in Puri without public participation.
The Supreme Court bench headed by J. Arun Mishra agreed to hear modification applications against the June 18 order staying the Rath Yatra 2020.
It has brightened the chances of conducting the annual festival of Lord Jagannath and his siblings in a limited way without congregation of devotees.
Meanwhile, ‘Agyan Mala’ (garland of consent) brought to three chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra a day before Ratha Jatra.
