Bhubaneswar: The death toll due to COVID-19 has increased to 36 in Odisha as two more deaths were reported in the state, informed the health department on Sunday.
Also, another non-COVID death was reported from Balasore district.
A 40-year old COVID-19 positive male of Gajapati district and a 64-year old COVID-19 positive male of Sundergarh district, who was also suffering from Diabetes, succumbed to the virus.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha touched 9070 with 469 fresh cases being reported from 20 districts in the last 24 hours, the department said.
Of the new positive cases, 317 were detected from quarantine centres while 152 are local contact cases.
