Odisha’s Covid tally crosses 80k mark; Cuttack reports highest cases

Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 tally has crossed 80,000 mark in Odisha with huge spik of 2949 new positive cases in last 24 hours, informed the health department on Monday.

The total number of cases in the state have rose to 81479.

The death toll due to Coronavirus has increased to 419 as 10 more patients succumbed to the virus while undergoing treatment in last 24 hours, said the department.

Of the fresh cases, 1826 were reported from quarantines while 1123 are local contacts.

Cuttack district has reported highest number of 589 cases followed by Khurdha with 474 cases.
