Odisha’s Covid-19 death toll crosses 1600 mark

Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 positive cases increased to 3,12,545 in Odisha while the death toll crossed 1600 mark, said a health official on Friday.

Odisha has reported 757 more positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Out of this, 436 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 321 are local contact cases.

Angul recorded highest 75 fresh cases followed by Khordha (70) and Cuttack (67).

On the other hand, the death toll due to Covid-19 climed to 1608 with 16 more patients succumbing to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

The number of total active cases in the state stands at 8,088 and recovered cases at 3,02,796.
