SpiceJet to launch flights to Mumbai, Bengaluru from Jharsuguda airport

Jharsuguda: SpiceJet will launch flight operations from Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda to to Mumbai and Bengaluru from January 12, the Civil Aviation Ministry informed on Saturday.

Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary to the Ministry, informed that SpiceJet will launch flights from Jharsuguda to Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Padhee said the launch will boost the economy of western Odisha and help fulfill the aspirations of the people of the region.

The airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2018. Several flights are operating from the airport under the Centre’s flagship UDAN scheme.
